KRISHAND FILMS

Krishand is an alumnus of IIT bombay where he did his masters in visual communication (Master of Design in visual communication)

Krishand directed  the web series ‘Utsaha ithihasam -Saga of the spirited’ which won the ‘Best Comedy Drama’ at Seoul web fest in 20218 . His short documentary ‘Waterbodies’ was screened at IDSFFK 2019 and Cefalu International film festival in competition section

 

Krishand got his debut feature film 'Vrithakrithyilulla Chathuram' in competetion at IFFK 2019.  The film won the Kerala state award for best background music..

In 2021 Krishand's web series pilot  "People in Transaction' won the BEST DRAMEDY at Asia web awards and it was released in Nerambok youtube channel in Jan 2023

 

His second film 'Aavasavyuham' is also MADE IT competition at iffk 2022 where it won the FIPRESCI award and the NETPAC award for the best Malayalam. Furthermore Avasavyuham won state award for the 'best Screenplay' and state award for the 'best feature film.' It also won Kerala state film critic award for thr best film, JC Daniel foundation award for the 'Best film', it won the Arvindan Puraskaram for the 'best film' and 'best screenplay'. The film was critically acclaimed and celeberated once it was released on Sony in 2022.

His third film "Purushapretham - The male corpse'  was released in Sony Liv in March 2023 and recieved a tremendous audience response and critical acclaim.

Previously -

In 2016 Krishand’s short film “Sinners at the Goddess Abode’ was screened in Cannes SFC, Noida international film festival and Signs film festival.

Krishand was awarded the Best editor in MSIFF 2013 and won the Best cinematographer in the same year for the 48 hour film festival.

Krishand's works include short films Cherumarangal (2012), Mombattiyaan (2013), Flames (2013), Ghoda 22 (2014), Bhagavathikaavile Paapikal (2016) and the documentary Waterbodies (2019). 

 

Krishand is currently an Adjunct Associate professor with IITBombay in the Industrial design department. He is also an academician with Sacred hearts college and conducts workshops in NID Bhopal, NIFT Bangalore.
